GSRD therapy

"We are many tribes. We each have our unique differences. We show the world there are many ways to live, and express our hearts. We embrace diversity." Dominic Davies – Founder of Pink Therapy

GSRD stands for GENDER, SEX, RELATIONSHIP DIVERSITY

GSRD therapy is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on LGBTIQ+ lifeworlds and goes beyond them.

There are other marginalized groups in the field of sexuality, identity and relationships/contact who receive affirmative support within the framework of GSRD therapy.

The following descriptions represent the current understanding of Pink Therapy regarding marginalized identities, consensual relationships and practices and are not intended to be exclusive.

Gender Diversity

By gender, we include people across the gender spectrum who identify as trans, agender, bi-gender, cross-dresser, genderqueer, genderfluid, non-binary, and First Nations/Indigenous genders.

Sex Diversity

We use two different understandings of the word sex:

Sex as in sexuality, sexual orientation/identities: lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, and those on the asexual spectrum, celibate, and those involved in BDSM/kink and fetish.

The term sex also refers to biological sex. This encompasses intersex and people born with sex characteristics (including genitals, gonads, and chromosomal patterns) that do not fit the typical binary notions of male or female bodies.

Relationship Diversity

Relationship diversity includes people on the aromantic (aro) spectrum, as well as people involved in BDSM/kink power exchange relationships, sex work relationships, people in open relationships or multi-partner relationships (swingers, non-monogamous, polyamorous people, etc.) or in monogamous relationship forms.

I would be happy to accompany you in shaping your life authentically!

FYI: These categories have undergone several revisions since Pink Therapy began over 21 years ago. They are likely to continue to change as our understanding of the biopsychosocial approach to sex/gender and relationships evolves.
