About me
Maga (FH) Magdalena Ségur-Cabanac MSc, psychotherapist for Integrative Gestalt Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, as well as Couple-and Sex therapy in Vienna.
Private
I was born in Salzburg in 1984, am married and have two children.
Professional
During my studies in social work, I was particularly interested in topics such as Migration and integration and gender aspects in society. I began working at the intervention center for victims of human trafficking and moved to the Association of Vienna Women's Shelters in 2008. Through my work as a social worker, I was able to gain insight into many realities of life, especially women's realities.
I'm interested in human beings and all their associated aspects of existence. It's an honor for me when people reveal themselves to me with their vulnerability and tenderness.
I observe social processes critically: global crises, wars, and social divisions place a heavy burden on many people. Added to this is a tough working environment and high social pressure to conform. The resulting increased internal stress is taking its toll on many people. Some suffer from burnout. Depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, existential crises, listlessness, addictions, eating disorders, relationship problems, exam anxiety, etc.
I'd like to contribute to helping you integrate more inner freedom, new perspectives, and self-determination into your life. You can (re)embrace yourself with the idiosyncrasies and characteristics that make you the person you are.
